Visit With Santa '12
Another holiday season is upon us and with that comes the annual visit to see the man in red. While Cole has developed a very detailed strategy surrounding the visit and limited discussion, Casey is still a bit hesitant.
Cole starts working on his Christmas list shortly after his birthday in June. This allows him plenty of time for revisions and by the time comes to sit on the old man's lap, Cole has a iron clad list. He has rehearsed his delivery focusing on voice inflection an eye contact in order to relay importance when it comes to the items listed. By the time it's over, Cole has executed a very detailed covert exercise done with military precision.
And then there's Casey. After pumping up the impending visit for weeks, Casey was genuinely excited to visit Santa after years of anxiety and fear. Casey woke up the morning of the visit asking if it was time to go visit Santa and continued to inquire all throughout the day. True excitement and anticipation... that is until he saw the big man. When it was all over a compromise had been made. No interest in sitting on the lap but Santa was great and offered to speak with Casey with Dad present. In the end, a list had transferred hands and a high five shared. All is all... mission accomplished.
Below are some pictures of the adventure.
