Cole Turns 6
SIX!
Another year has flown by for Cole. Last year at this time he was graduating from P2 at the Sony CDC and now he has completed his Kindergarten year and is enjoying his first true summer vacation. Soon he will be in the 1st Grade and back at school with all his friends.
Cole's summer has been busy so far but what a great way to catch up with many of his friends from Room 8 than to invite them over help him celebrate his 6th birthday.
A carnival theme with games, popcorn, hot dogs, cotton candy and of course a big bounce house was a recipe for success. A great time was had by all and the birthday boy enjoyed himself with friends and family.
Below is a photo slideshow of the great day.

Field of Dreams
Put me in coach!
After taking on Soccer last fall it was try to spend some time on the baseball diamond this spring. Cole played for the Toluca Pirates and had a great team of friendly kids from throughout the valley. One thing that Cole loved about soccer was the constant movement and action... baseball most certainly is a bit of a slower game. That was a bit of a tough transition for Cole. He enjoyed playing Pitcher the most because, at this age, that position is involved with a majority of the plays.
Baseball didn't quite come as naturally as soccer did but he improved greatly as the season progressed and we are very proud of him. This was a coach pitch / tball league. The coach would pitch up to 4-5 balls to allow the kids to hit off the pitch but if that didn't work out they went to the tee. By the end of the season, Cole and the rest of his team had all but retired the tee and were doing extremely well off the pitch.
Cole just wrapped up the season with a great all star weekend where they mixed all the kids from different teams to make new teams who then got to play one last game. This was great because Cole was able to play with his buddy Owen who was on his soccer team and is from his school.
Here is a short video recap of Cole's baseball season.
